It started off as a 6.5, the last few episode brought near 8.
I very much enjoyed it overall, enough to watch a second season, should there be one.
I can't say I'm any more Woke due to their pointless adding of an illegal alien storyline of fifty years past. The sexual orientation bit made a little more sense, but still, why?
Compared to other shows that are slathered in sjwbs, this was more tolerable than most.
God help me, I'm probably getting used to the bombardment.

If you ever read Superman The Red Son, prepare to see a version of it told through a re-imagining of the Space Race, starting in the late 60's. Just saw the first episode and I'm hooked. It's impressive.

The premise is, what if the space race never ended. So I imagine, this show will attempt to proceed to show us everything humanity has been missing for the last sixty years, had there been an accelerated US space program.

If you love science fiction, and what if scenarios, with in a realistic and historical backdrop and like to see your understanding of reality as you grew to knew it, shaken just a bit, this is it.

Not only is the acting pretty bad but the STORYTELLING is worse. I'm guessing whoever produced this fluffy junk was a millennial exercising a very stretchy artistic license. Honestly, I'm spoiled having lived thru the actual 'space race' and more recently audiences were treated to Tom Hanks recreation of those NASA missions. In comparison, I found very little joy and terribly mangled truths in this scrabble version - reckon I'm not gonna make it past ep3.
Best wishes and watching! 0.0

@(⌐■_■) Alrighty, I'm back for a review revision. I had no access to preseason reviews and just stumbled in thinking it was another mini-series. But the insane irregularities straying WILDLY from truth, yet portrayed as history left me shouting about crazy revisionism.

However... I've caught on to the novel-ruse, and the trufiction type plot certainly thickens!! It's easier to give reign to artistic license realizing they've twisted 'real history' into a dramatic sci-fi novel, and how well they're pulling it off. This is such a great bingey series I had to revisit and correct my earlier comment. It's guuuuuud.

@(⌐■_■) You as well as many others(IMDB reviews) seemed to have completely missed reading the plot line of this made for TV show. It’s a WHAT IF alternate scenario where the Russians put both men and women into space before the Americans. Of course the truth is going to be scrambled, that’s the whole idea of a WHAT IF alternate scenario. There doesn’t seem to be much middle ground opinions on this show. People either like it a lot or hate it a lot. Personally, I found it got off to a really slow start and got better as I watched more episodes. Just finished E5 and it’s turning out to be very entertaining.
